BUSINESS SUPPORT TENDER FOR REMIGRATION

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (VARAM) together with planning regions and municipalities implements a support measure for remigrants to promote entrepreneurship. The total state funding for this purpose is 1.2 million euros for the three-year period from 2024 to 2026, with 400,000 euros allocated each year. Municipalities that applied for this support announce tenders and conclude contracts with support applicants. The annual state support for the creation of one workplace or company is 8,000 euros, while the amount of municipal and private co-financing is determined in the competition regulations.

• What is the purpose of the support?
  A company founded by a remigrant;
  Created a job for a remigrant;

• Who is eligible for support?
  A remigrant who returned to live in Latvia no longer than 2 years ago and spent at least 2 years abroad.
  A company who creates a new job for a remigrant.

• How to get support?
  Apply to the tender announced by the municipality in accordance with the regulations by filling out the project application and submitting the required information.

• What can the support be used for?
  Fixed assets;
  For remuneration (including salary and/or labor force taxes (personal income tax and/or mandatory state social insurance contributions)).
  A new service should be developed at the regional level.
